November Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop #24

Welcome to the November Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop #24. You may have joined me from Melissa’s Blog or you have started here. This month’s Blog Hop is a layout Challenge. The stamp set Butterfly Wishes was on my desk when I came to create so I decided to use this old favourite for my card. I chose to use Blushing Bride, Soft Sea Foam, Crumb Cake & Rococo Rose. Choosing to use the scallop circle in Soft Sea Foam brought the colours together.

I find that adding texture in the form of ribbon softens the card and I was able to add 3 types of ribbon including the Scalloped Linen Ribbon in Rococo Rose and the Braided Linen Trim. I finished off the card by adding some basic rhinestones for some bling.

October Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop #23

Welcome to the October Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop #23. You may have joined me from Kristy’s Blog or you have started here. This month’s Blog Hop is a colour Challenge. When I first looked at the colours I was thinking…. hmmm, don’t know what I’m going to create with those colours! But once I chose the stamp set I flew through the challenge. The card that came out the other end I absolutely love!!!

The colours we needed to use are Crush Curry, Calypso Coral & Pretty Peacock. I chose to use the Gorgeous Posies stamp set which made this card so quick and easy to create. The dots are stamped in Pretty Peacock but I felt it would have been too stark if I had of stamped full strength. Instead I stamped off first and then stamped onto the card to fill in the space.

One Sheet Wonder

Yesterday was World Card Making Day. I didn’t get a lot of time be creative howver today I made a set of One Sheet Wonder cards using the Rooted in Nature Stamp Set.

Creating One Sheet Wonder Cards is one of my favourite things to create as you can make lots of cards in one project. Choosing some lovely Autumn colours for this card including Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade, Bumblebee & Terracotta Tile. I also used Early Espresso for the Happy Birthday. Starting with a Very Vanilla Piece of A4 card stock to stamp all the images onto using the 4 colours. Using the Stampin Trimmer I cut up the A4 card into 6 pieces and then chose all the colours I needed for each card. I used the Birch stamp set for the background on 4 of the cards.

Heading for a Milestone

I’ve been a Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator since 1st May 2008 and I am getting so close to a milestone that I thought I’d never get to. I joined Stampin’ Up! as I fell in love with the products and how well they coordinated with everything in their collections. From Ribbon to ink to paper, everything coordinated. I had struggled for years to get the right colours to coordinate and then suddenly I found Stampin’ Up! and colours that coordinated and it made my crafting so much easier.

I joined to get a discount in the hopes of one day being able to get enough sales to cover my personal wish lists. I couldn’t have imagined that 12 years later I would have a team of lovely ladies and the amazing people I have met along my journey.

The milestone is a career milestone of 100,000CSV which is equivalent to US$100,000. It has taken me twelve and a half years to get where I am and only $2,100 away from this huge milestone. I have had a countdown to this posted on my wall in front of my desk to remind me as I could see it was getting closer with every month. It is only thanks to my lovely customers that I am so close to this milestone. Without all my customers, I wouldn’t be here and I sincerely want to thank you for all your support in my little stamping business.

We had to design a card using this layout. I chose to use the Mountrain Air photopolymer stamp set again this month. The Mountain Air Stamp set is so lovely to use and you can create so many differing designs just by changing up the colours. Using Balmy Blue for the mountains and then Night of Navy for the trees and I used Basic Grey for the birds.
