Children’s Craft Course

Over the last 6 weeks I have held a craft course for kids. I have had 4 girls attending ranging from year 1 through to year 6.  The girls have all enjoyed the course and have learnt a few techniques and some theory on papercrafts.  The course was over 7 weeks during the school term.  We have 1 more week to go.

They have been able to make a Scrapbook Album with 12 double sided pages, 8 Christmas cards & in the final week they will make two Christmas rosette ornaments.

This was the first time that I have conducted a craft course. I have held card classes for kids but never a course that they would build projects throughout the time.  I can honestly say that I have really enjoyed the time with the girls as well.  It has been lovely getting to know them and seeing their faces light up when they have created a project and that they are pleased with.

This is a photo of my first class.  I had a tray for each of the kids ready to go but kept them from the table till they were ready for each item.

Here are all the projects that they have made over the 7 weeks.

In the first class we talked about Colours including Primary, Secondary and Tertiary colours. They created their own colour wheel.

I challenged each of the girls to stamp their name using the colours that we had just spoken about and then challenged them to stamp a butterfly using the colours of their name. This was created by one of the younger students. She did very well.

This was created by one of the girls in Year 6 who has had a lot more stamping experience. She loved these colours.

Room Mate Gifts OnStage

As OnStage was on the Gold Coast this year we needed to travel and find accommodation.  I booked some accommodation for 4 and had 3 amazing fellow demos staying with me including one of my fabulous downlines.

I wanted to make them feel special so I made a little gift for them.  I used the Year of Cheer Speciality Designer Series Paper to make a hot chocolate pouch.

I have included a video for you showcasing the gorgeous products in the Year of Cheer Suite

OnStage Swaps

At every major Stampin’ Up! event we, as demonstrators, have the opportunity to swap ideas with other demonstrators.  We are encouraged to make a card front or 3D item to swap with other demonstrators so we can get some additional ideas.

I was really struggling with ideas this time around but after a great chat with one of my downlines I was inspired by re-using one of my ideas that I’d used previously as a demonstration.

So I made these card fronts as my swap using numerous colours.  I used the Faux Bleaching Technique.  I started by sponge braying ink onto the card stock in an ombre look.  I then spritzed the hexagon embossing folder with water and then placed the card stock with ink facing down onto the embossing folder.  Take the card stock off and you should see that the water has taken off the ink in the wet places.  Let it dry and then stamp another image over the top in a darker ink.

You can purchase all the products to make these cards at my online shop.

OnStage Highlights

There are so many highlights but I can’t share them all with you.  I can say that there is something very exciting coming very soon.  Check back again on Friday this week.

On Saturday I had the opportunity to attend OnStage on the Gold Coast with one of my downlines and other team members including my fabulous upline.

We were given the new Occasions Catalogue and upcoming Sale-a-bration Catalogue.  They both commence on 3rd January 2018.

There are some fabulous new suites for birthdays, valentines day, weddings, Easter and more.

Our Stampin’ Blends are in the new Occasions catalogue as well.  So there is something for everyone.

You can check out all the products, when they are released, on my Stampin’ Up Website.

CentreStage Gold Coast

Last night I had the privilege of attending CentreStage which is a managers only event. This was only my second time attending,
It was a lovely night where we were able to see the new catalogue and products and receive some extra thank you gifts from Stampin’ Up!

I am unable to show very much at this point on what’s coming. You’ll need to have some patience.

My husband is at home holding the fort for me while I’m away and I’m very thankful for such a supportive husband.
While I was at the dinner, I sent him a couple of texts of my meal. He in turn sent photos of his meal.

Here is what I sent him…

And this is what he sent back to me…

It was a lovely night. If you’d like to join my team and have the opportunity to attend CentreStage then sign up with my ProCRAFTinators Team and you too could be spoilt like we were last night.

Children’s Craft Course

Starting today I am holding a Children’s Craft Course in my home. The course is for 7 weeks and will, hopefully, help the the children to be able to work with colours more confidently in the future.

They are going to be making a 6″ x 8″ Scrapbook Album, 8 Christmas cards with envelopes and 2 Christmas Rosette Ornaments.

I have a maximum class size of 6 students as I want to be able to give each student the attention and help that they may need.

I’m really looking forward to the classes each week and hope that each of the children will be more confident in colours and being creative.

Below is what they’ll be creating.

And here is the kit that they’ll receive.

If you’d like to purchase any of these products, you can shop for them online at my shop and have them delivered straight to your door.
