Every Friday I do a Facebook Live on my business Facebook Page. Today was no exception and I chose to Showcase the Flowering Rain Boots Stamp Set and coordinating Rain Boots Dies.
Both of the these are on the Last Chance Product list till the end of June 2022. I had a bit of a search online to see what others had created and took inspiration from a few projects and came up with these 4 cards. The current 2022-2024 In Colors are really my favourite inks to use right now and I chose to use them in these projects with the Flowering Rain Boots stamps.
I created 4 cards and have stepped up each card as I went. Simple cards are a favourite because it means you can create them at home with minimal supplies. My first and second cards are very simple. The last two cards have used the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to cut out elements and to emboss the background.
Cards
I have created two videos this week. The first one is my Friday Facebook Live where I chat through what I am creating. The second video is a short sped up version of the video. I recorded the short one simultaneously via my phone so I could edit it quickly.

This months Blog Hop is a colour challenge and this challenge really got me. The new In Colors are absolutely stunning and I love love love them. However, mixing one of the colours with Petal Pink & Soft Sea Foam really was a challenge for me. I chose to use the Bottled Happiness stamp set for my card, and I love this stamp set and has a lot of versatility.
Using the Tea Boutique cards and envelopes as my card base has helped to make my creativity easier on this challenge. Adding in some Gray Granite card as a frame under the stamped image to lift the layer. I used the two greens as the bottle and really happy with how it turned out adding the parakeet party as the shading on the bottle.

This week has been a fairly busy week. I had my ProCRAFTinators Retreat last weekend and this weekend I have had Stampin’ Up!’s OnStage@Home event. So I really had very limited time to get the creative juices flowing. Having the challenge be a Layout meant I didn’t need to think of a design but did need to choose some products to use. I went with the early release Eden’s Garden Suite. This includes the Stamps and Dies and the limited release products of the cotton paper, designer series paper and the gems. If you love these papers and gems as much as I do, then you will want to get your hands on them quick smart as these are only while supplies last.
My card came together really quickly while I was in a break from OnStage@Home. I wanted to show off this suite and have a good play with it as I haven’t had too much time to just create for the sake of creating. On the white piece I have used my paper snips to rough up the edges around and repeated this process for the evening evergreen layer. To finish off the card I have use the gorgeous Garden Gems to help bring out the gold foil that is on the DSP.
My Card Design
In the first image below you can see the texture I created using the cotton paper where I using liquid glue and scrunch up the cotton paper and then layer onto the card front to get the crinkle look. The second image you can see that I have stamped the insert inside the card. I have also layered the white onto a piece of Evening Evergreen card stock to add extra details. On the envelope I have used the Designer Series Paper to decorate the back flap and I have stamped on the front as well.

Welcome to the August Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop #33. You may have joined me from Elizabeth’s Blog or you may have started here. This month’s Blog Hop is a colour challenge. Initially I didn’t have any idea what I was going to create but after playing with a Sale-a-bration stamp set today, the card came together really quickly. The new Sale-a-bration Stamp set “Textures & Frames” which you can earn for FREE with a $90 purchase. I paired this set with the “Enjoy the Moment” stamp set from the Annual Catalogue.
We needed to use 3 of the new In Colors from the Annual Catalogue, Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent & Evening Evergreen. I chose to use the Tuxedo Black ink for the seed pod. Layering it onto a piece of Evening Evergreen and then onto a piece of Whisper White Thick card stock.

Forever Fern meets Simple Stamping today on my blog. This card is super simple to create with products you have already in your stash, once you add the Forever Fern stamp set.
I started off wanting to use a colour from each of the current In Colors that Stampin’ Up! have in their range right now. I chose the two greens within each collection which led me to Just Jade and Pretty Peacock. Stamping in Pretty Peacock ink with some of the ferns I then added some Bumblebee card as an accent and to cover up the end of the stems. The scrap piece was sitting on my desk at the time which made it an easy choice to use.
Adding the ‘Hello’ in Tuxedo Black Memento and the stamping is done. I layered Basic Black card onto the Just Jade card base and then realised that the whisper white was too long so rather than grabbing out my trimmer I chose to tear off the bottom. What do you think? Do the colours work? Forever Fern meets Simple Stamping – I must say the three colours have grown on my over the time.
