April Stampers Anonymous Team BlogHop #29

Welcome to the April Stampers Anonymous Team BlogHop #29. You may have joined me from Kylie’s Blog or you may have started here. This month’s Blog Hop is to create a Fancy Fold card. This month I wanted to create a card that had a number of elements within the card and so I went for a little search on the interwebs and stumbled across this one from Simply Simple Stamping. I like that there are a number of elements to this fancy fold card. And generally with a fancy fold card there is a limited amount of space to write your message and have it not be seen before you open it. However, with the extra panel there is a lot of space to write.

Don’t you think the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper is absolutely stunninng? I knew I had to use these papers as I just love the colours. What paper would you choose if you were to make this card?

Here is a view from the top of the card so you can see all the different folds within the card.

March Stampers Anonymous Team BlogHop #28

Welcome to the March Stampers Anonymous Team BlogHop #28. You may have joined me from Elizabeth’s Blog or you may have started here. This month’s Blog Hop is to a colour challenge. Colour challenges can be fun and not so fun, if you know what I mean. But I do like these colours together and I knew which stamp set I wanted to use straight away.

I wanted to use products from the January to June Mini Catalogue and I like the Fine Art Floral Suite. And with so many great products that are still available, you’ll want to get your hands on these products now.

I had some inspiration for this card from one I recieved this past week from our Demonstrator Development Manager, Clare. Her card is gorgeous and had an embossed frame and I wanted to incorporate that into my card.
However, I felt the white in the background was a bit stark for me so I chose one of colours to be a background layer. Then I chose the coordinating Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder from the Art Gallery Suite. I applied some ink to the folder and then ran it through
the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to add some depth to the embossed image.

January Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop #26

Welcome to the January Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop #26. You may have joined me from Melissa’s Blog or you have started here. This month’s Blog Hop is to use anything from the January – June Mini Catalogue and/or the the Sale-a-bartion Catalogue. It sounds like it would be an easy challenge but it can get tricky when you have so many things that you want to play with and so little time to play.

I have been playing with so many new products between Christmas & New year and into January. There are so many delicious products that are now available and you’ll want to get your hands on these products.

I decided to use the Flower & Field Designer Series Paper from the Sale-a-bration catalogue which you can earn for free with a $90 purchase. Overlaying each of the squares shows off the papers and adds interest to the card. Pairing this paper with a simple sentiment of Thank you from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set which is found in the January-June Mini Catalogue. Choosing a colour within each patterned paper to stamp the sentiment in and the card is done.

This the set of cards that I created using just the patterned paper and the sentiment
Here is a close up of one of my favourite papers in the pack.

December Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop #25

Welcome to the December Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop #25. You may have joined me from Melissa’s Blog or you have started here. This month’s Blog Hop is an Anything Goes Challenge. It sounds like it would be an easy challenge but it can get tricky when you have so many things that you want to play with and so little time to play.

I have been creating some decor items recently for a couple of Mother Daughter classes coming up in January so I wanted to share those with you today.

One item is just using card stock and an older paper technique, Quilling. I started by creating a heart shape and then chose the colours. I wanted to have an ombre effect which I think has been achieved. After using my bone folder to break the fibres in the card I curled them up into spirals. Using hot glue I stuck the swirls onto the outline of the heart that I had drawn on the 12×12 card. Adding some Linen Thread around the outside of the heart finishes off the main part of the project.

Using the Butterfly Duet to punch out some butterflies in the three colours and in some vellum and overlayed the card with the vellum. I added some pearls to the middle of the butterflies and stuck them on with glue dots.

The second project I made was a sampler for another Mother Daughter class. This project I did use some of the retired large letter alphabet but felt it did need these letters for the “Thankful”. I also used the Beautiful Moments stamp set and the Playing with Patterns Designer Series Paper.

I also paired these products with the butterfly duet punch. In the upcoming January to June Mini Catalogue are some new blending brushes in packs of 3 so I pulled them out and used them to do some blending with the ink on two panels. I used the Blends to colour in the mother and daughter and the two girls in the top left corner. In the top right corner I plan to have a photo of the mother and daughter.

November Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop #24

Welcome to the November Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop #24. You may have joined me from Melissa’s Blog or you have started here. This month’s Blog Hop is a layout Challenge. The stamp set Butterfly Wishes was on my desk when I came to create so I decided to use this old favourite for my card. I chose to use Blushing Bride, Soft Sea Foam, Crumb Cake & Rococo Rose. Choosing to use the scallop circle in Soft Sea Foam brought the colours together.

I find that adding texture in the form of ribbon softens the card and I was able to add 3 types of ribbon including the Scalloped Linen Ribbon in Rococo Rose and the Braided Linen Trim. I finished off the card by adding some basic rhinestones for some bling.

Butterfly Wishes – an old favourite stamp set of mine for the Stampers Anonymouse Team Blog Hop #24

October Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop #23

Welcome to the October Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop #23. You may have joined me from Kristy’s Blog or you have started here. This month’s Blog Hop is a colour Challenge. When I first looked at the colours I was thinking…. hmmm, don’t know what I’m going to create with those colours! But once I chose the stamp set I flew through the challenge. The card that came out the other end I absolutely love!!!

The colours we needed to use are Crush Curry, Calypso Coral & Pretty Peacock. I chose to use the Gorgeous Posies stamp set which made this card so quick and easy to create. The dots are stamped in Pretty Peacock but I felt it would have been too stark if I had of stamped full strength. Instead I stamped off first and then stamped onto the card to fill in the space.

Gorgeous Posies Stamp set featuring Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry & Pretty Peacock.

Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop #19

Welcome to the June Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop #19. You may have joined me from Kristy’s Blog or started here. This month’s Blog Hop is a colour challenge. I struggled with this one as the colours are trickier to use together. So instead of struggling I chose to take an easy out by just stamping with the Forever Fern stamp set. I chose to keep it a very simple card with only one image in each colour.

Layering onto Basic Black provides a frame around the Whisper White card. Adding a thin strip of Basic Black Card stock to cover over the bottom of the stems. And then added the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
