Today I wanted to share with you a super simple card using the Peace to You Stamp Set by Stampin’ Up!
I created these cards on my Friday Facebook Live on the 21st July but didn’t get a chance to upload these to YouTube since I have been away. Check out the very quick video of how I create these two gorgeous cards.
The Kindest Gnomes stamp set is a super cute set that is in the July to December Mini Catalogue. There are 4 cute gnomes and a mushroom house included in the stamp set. The coordinating dies are super cute as well and cuts out the gnomes, mushroom and some other elements. You are going to love this bundle and best of all you can save 10% when you purchase them as a bundle.
When I did my facebook live a few weeks ago I also created this short video so you can see how I created the cards. So if you’re short on time check out the less than 5 minute video below. However, if you have some more time you might want to check out this post which talks about the cards I created.
During my Friday Facebook Live on 21st July I shared two stamp sets which were the Kindest Gnomes and the Peace to You stamp sets by Stampin’ Up!
The Peace to You cards that I created were super super simple and you can make so many of these in a very short amount of time. So if you need to make many cards for Christmas then this is the stamp set to buy. On one of the cards I just used Starry Sky ink and added a rhinestone to the star. The second card was a bit more involved. I used a sponge to add some ink in two different colours onto the stamp and then stamped it on the Very Vanilla piece of card. I chose Starry Sky card to add in a layer and then mounted onto a blackberry bliss card base. Adding a rhinestone to the star again finishes it off nicely.
Peace to You
The two gnome cards using the Kindest Gnomes stamps were fairly simple as well. I was first looking at one piece of designer series paper from the Storybook Gnomes DSP but then decided to not use any patterned paper at all behind my cute gnomes. The second card with a little different. I chose the paper first and then coloured in. But this time I stamped in Starry Sky ink and pulled the ink with a blender pen for his beard and then used the watercolor pencils for the rest of him. I love how they both turned out. My colouring leaves a lot to be desired but at least everyone will know that they are handmade 🙂
This week has been a very busy one. We have been at the Christian Venues Association National Conference at CYC Phillip Island Adventure Resort. It has been a phenomenal week of sharing, being well fed, catching up with friends near and far and meeting new friends in the Christian Camping industry, which my husband and I have a heart for.
I had the opportunity to run two workshops which gave some attendees a chance to craft with me. In one of my classes I had kids and adults. So I needed to create a class for both which can be difficult. I decided to go for some colouring for the kids and some stamping for the adults.
My husband and I support this ministry in various ways as Ministry of Tech. We like to have some fun at the National Conference. And we like to find fun ways to get everyone to interact and this year was no exception. We organised a giant game of scrabble for all the delegates. Many people didn’t play, but those that did were very competitive. At the end of the allotted time there were 100 plays and over 100 words.
Our eldest flew down by herself on the Monday after we arrived. So we just had our youngest with us and we had a bit of fun when we were setting up the AV gear.
Welcome to our July Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop #44. You may have joined me from Melissa’s Blog or you may be starting right here. Either way, welcome to our blog hop.
This months Blog Hop is an Anything Goes from the Stampin’ Up! July to December Mini Catalogue. I had plans to get creative and make something but my month has been super busy with a kids holiday program at my church last week and then we went away for a couple of days for a bit of a break so I didn’t get a chance to create something new and so please forgive me for sharing a card I made for a team swap last month.
I chose to use the ‘Decorated with Happiness’ stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! July to December Mini Catalogue. The colours I used are Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler and Sahara Sand. I have also used the Time Worn Type 3D embossing folder on the Sahara Sand layer and then used the Blending Brushes to add an antique look to my card. I used the blending brushes on all the pieces to add that antique look. Using my paper snips I chose to shred up the edges and add an additional antique look 🙂
Have you had a chance to look through the Mini Catalogue yet? What is your favourite product from the Stampin’ Up! July to December Mini Catalogue?
On my Facebook Live last Friday I shared the Splendid Thoughts stamp set and created 5 cards using the stamp set. I created a couple over basic cards to start with and then stepped them up.
I was really happy with how they turned out and you can watch the quick video below where I have sped up the card making. You can also watch the extended version here.
I show you the masking technique in a couple of the cards and this is a technique that I love using. It really is a fun way to create a card. Show me your projects that you’ve made using the masking technique.
