Using up Designer Series papers

Before the end of May, I was trying to use up some Designer Papers before they retired.  I made up a few sets of cards and then used some older ribbons and embellishments to step them up.  I really love how each set turned out.  I first saw this One Sheet Wonder on a facebook page and the original is from Mackenzie Makes a demo in the US.  She has some great pdf’s on her webpage.

This is a great way to use up all the Designer Series Papers you have stored away to use one day.  Get it out and chop it up!  I know that it is gorgeous paper but it is there to be used.

Colour Theory Designer Series Paper

The New Annual Catalogue for 2017/2018 has been released and I have loved playing with all the new products that are available.  I absolutely love the colours in the Colour Theory DSP.  Berry Burst, Dapper Denim, Old Olive & Crushed Curry.  I decided to use these colours and the dsp to create a little box with a handle.  The inspiration came from a fellow demonstrator Nikki Joyce from the UK. She shared a bag with note cards on a facebook page I’m a member of.

I came up with these bags and cards.

Card Buffet

I hosted a card Buffet on Monday night and created a video of the cards that I created.  I used lots of new stamp sets and some older ones as well.  Everyone had a chance to choose which cards they wanted to make.  There were a few new techniques for the attendees to learn as well.

I’m planning on holding these more regularly, so contact me if you’d like to find out more about my classes.

Here is the video

Double Flap Picnic Basket

I was looking for a box to put some little goodies in as a gift and came across a great tutorial from Crafty Caroline in the UK.

I made the picnic basket & love it.  It is a little fiddly putting the lid on and putting the split pins on but I love how they turned out.  I’ve used up some lovely designer series paper and a good way to use up your retiring products.  The split pins are no longer available from Stampin’ Up! but I’m using up my stock of them.

Here is the video tutorial for the box.  I hope you will enjoy making this box as much as I did.  Don’t forget that the retirement list is out and selling fast so go online to my shop and grab yourself a bargain as some items are up to 50% off

Balloon Celebration Card Set

The Balloon Celebration Stamp set is a versatile set that can be used for male and female cards.
I’ve been asked to prepare a class using this stamp set and the matching Balloon punch.  The designs are gorgeous with many inspired by Pinterest and one card changed up from an Ice Cream stamp set class that was designed by Stampin’ Up!

I was asked for birthday cards and male and female cards and the cards are in the above photo.  I also decided to make a matching card.  So I made a male and female card of each design using the same colours and I was really happy with how they all turned out.
The used the colours that are in each of the Designer Series Papers
