Beauty of the Earth

Welcome back to my blog and today I wanted to share with you some cards I made using the Beauty of the Earth suite of products.

Yesterday morning I woke up quite early and couldn’t get back to sleep so decided I would get up and get creating for my class that I had that morning. Nothing like creating at the last minute!

So I went onto trusty Pinterest to search for the suite Beauty of the Earth. After a very short search I found some inspiration from Glenda Calkins (The Stamp Camp) and copied her card and then continued to create 3 more cards to round out my class, adding a rotation of the layout for two of the cards.

Do you create at the last minute or are you a prepare in advance type of person?

I usually like to create well in advance but I am finding more and more that I am creating last minute. There is so much going on with my husbands business that I am not finding as much time as I would like to get creating with my own.

May Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop #30

Welcome to the May Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop #30. You may have joined me from Melissa’s Blog or you may have started here. This month’s Blog Hop is to create a card using this layout. The layout challenges can be quite fun and this one came together really quickly. I have had a very busy month and so wasn’t sure if I was going to get the chance to create my card but on Wednesday I sat down and created this card. What do you think?

Starting with the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set and coordinating dies, I created this card. I added some of the gold leaf foil to the centre of the flowers to add a bit of interest. The foil is to die for.

Its hard to see the shimmer of the foil in the photo but, if you look carefully, you may just see it and the foil is so fabulous to play with. I used the Curvy dies for the shape of the Fresh Freesia card in the background. Using the Black ink I stamped the flowers and then coloured in the flowers and leaves using the fill in stamps from the Hand-Penned Petals.

April Stampers Anonymous Team BlogHop #29

Welcome to the April Stampers Anonymous Team BlogHop #29. You may have joined me from Kylie’s Blog or you may have started here. This month’s Blog Hop is to create a Fancy Fold card. This month I wanted to create a card that had a number of elements within the card and so I went for a little search on the interwebs and stumbled across this one from Simply Simple Stamping. I like that there are a number of elements to this fancy fold card. And generally with a fancy fold card there is a limited amount of space to write your message and have it not be seen before you open it. However, with the extra panel there is a lot of space to write.

Don’t you think the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper is absolutely stunninng? I knew I had to use these papers as I just love the colours. What paper would you choose if you were to make this card?

Here is a view from the top of the card so you can see all the different folds within the card.

March Stampers Anonymous Team BlogHop #28

Welcome to the March Stampers Anonymous Team BlogHop #28. You may have joined me from Elizabeth’s Blog or you may have started here. This month’s Blog Hop is to a colour challenge. Colour challenges can be fun and not so fun, if you know what I mean. But I do like these colours together and I knew which stamp set I wanted to use straight away.

I wanted to use products from the January to June Mini Catalogue and I like the Fine Art Floral Suite. And with so many great products that are still available, you’ll want to get your hands on these products now.

I had some inspiration for this card from one I recieved this past week from our Demonstrator Development Manager, Clare. Her card is gorgeous and had an embossed frame and I wanted to incorporate that into my card.
However, I felt the white in the background was a bit stark for me so I chose one of colours to be a background layer. Then I chose the coordinating Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder from the Art Gallery Suite. I applied some ink to the folder and then ran it through
the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to add some depth to the embossed image.

You can continue to hop along with the March Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop #28 by clicking on any of the links below. Even though we may be small in number but I know the creativity in this group will be huge!

February Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop #27

Welcome to the February Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop #27. You may have joined me from Niki’s Blog or you may have started here. This month’s Blog Hop is to a layout challenge. I do enjoy these challenges as I have somewhere to start from.

I wanted to use products from the January to June Mini Catalogue and I especially love the “Love you Always” Suite. There are so many delicious products that are now available and you’ll want to get your hands on these products.

With Valentines Day today I thought it only fitting that I use the “Love You Always” Suite. My husband and I don’t really celebrate Valentines day but I decided to give him this card anyway.
The Love You Always Speciality & the True Love Designer Series Papers are absolutely gorgeous together. I paired these with the Always Dies and layered the “Love” over the outline of the word with black and white.
