Sunny Splash

Today on my Facebook Live I was creating with the Sunny Splash stamp set by Stampin’ Up! This stamp set was not on my wishlist at all till about 2 weeks ago. I saw a number of projects that people had made and thought, yes it is a cute set, maybe I should add it to my order, so I did.

I received the stamp set just yesterday and I an say I love it. It is so cute and adds a bit of whimsy and who doesn’t love whimsy? The weather outside today is overcast and not so pleasant so what better set to use than one that is for summer?

I am loving this Sunny Splash Stamp Set by Stampin’ Up!

The Sunny Splash stamp set by Stampin' Up! can be used in so many different ways. I love the bright colours I have used.

I did some quick searching for what others had created using this stamp set and I found a few that I was just drawn to. A couple of these cards were original designs by Songofmyheartstampers.com. Another of the cards was created by Nancy Stamps and the final card I took inspiration from Notes from Patience.

Stampin’ Up! 2018-2019 Colour Cardstock Sampler

As there are a number of colours changing in Stampin’ Up!’s colour collections it can be hard to remember the names of the new colours and know how each colour will coordinate.

With my Colour Cardstock Sampler you will be able to see the colours and match them before you cut up a new piece of our gorgeous colours.

The Colour Cardstock Sampler is only $10 plus postage and comes with all the labels and a hinged ring to keep all the colours together.  The ring also allows for the cards to move more freely so you can match up contrasting colours more easily.

Yes, you could create this all on your own. But, why take the time, and chop up your cardstock, when you don’t have to?

Stampin’ Up! Colour ReVamp

The spice of life is variety, and that’s especially true in the world of colour. Stampin’ Up! makes a point to keep an eye on colour trends across different markets and industries. When we see changes happening, Stampin’ Up! review their colour spectrum to ensure that they remain consistently on top of the trends. This brings us to the 2018 Colour Revamp!

In order to keep bringing you the most current and on trend colours, Stampin’ Up!  decided it was time to give their colour collections a makeover.

With this revamp, you’ll not only have new products, but also have a new variety of shades that will inspire creativity and allow you to explore more sides of your crafting.

The Details

There are still four colour collections, each with ten colours. There is also a new colour group called Basics.

The Basics colour group are our Basic Black, Whisper White & Very Vanilla colours.  This has meant that Stampin’ Up! could add an additional 3 colours to the Neutral Collection so we have more colours to play with.

Some additional colours have changed collections as well—you’ll notice this as you look through the new collections below. These changes were based on needing to maintain colour balance in our updated collections. For example, Poppy Parade is now the brightest red so it is part of the Brights collection.

If you have colours in your collection that you love then I suggest you purchase some ink refills as soon as possible, otherwise the colour will disappear and you may end up with a dry inkpad.  I always suggest purchasing an ink refill at the time of buying your stamp pad.

Children’s Craft Course

Starting today I am holding a Children’s Craft Course in my home. The course is for 7 weeks and will, hopefully, help the the children to be able to work with colours more confidently in the future.

They are going to be making a 6″ x 8″ Scrapbook Album, 8 Christmas cards with envelopes and 2 Christmas Rosette Ornaments.

I have a maximum class size of 6 students as I want to be able to give each student the attention and help that they may need.

I’m really looking forward to the classes each week and hope that each of the children will be more confident in colours and being creative.

Below is what they’ll be creating.

And here is the kit that they’ll receive.

If you’d like to purchase any of these products, you can shop for them online at my shop and have them delivered straight to your door.

Colour Theory Designer Series Paper

The New Annual Catalogue for 2017/2018 has been released and I have loved playing with all the new products that are available.  I absolutely love the colours in the Colour Theory DSP.  Berry Burst, Dapper Denim, Old Olive & Crushed Curry.  I decided to use these colours and the dsp to create a little box with a handle.  The inspiration came from a fellow demonstrator Nikki Joyce from the UK. She shared a bag with note cards on a facebook page I’m a member of.

I came up with these bags and cards.
