This month we were challenged with card layout.  I chose to use the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley.  A gorgeous suite of products that include stamps, dies, 6×6 papers, adhesive image sheets, stars & tinsel.

I used the stamps & the designer series paper stack for this project.  I also used the Mossy Meadow linen thread from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack which I feel just goes beautifully with rest of the card.

I love the gold foil on the red mistletoe background paper and then on the flip side are the trees. I loved this combination together as they are very traditional Christmas colours. I like the simplicity of the card with just the tree and then with the candy canes as the decorations on the tree. I felt that the tree was still a little naked so I used the other tree image as the branches stamped off. I just kept stamping till it filled in the spaces of the tree.

I added the Mossy Meadow linen thread to break up the sentiment and the tree, Then I added a christmas present on the scallop circle in real red so it is quite a subtle tone on tone image.

I made another card but rotated the design on the next card as I cut the patterned paper incorrectly but it enabled me to create another card. I used the scallop circle with the image in real red ink.

Blog Hop #6

Thanks for joining us on another team blog hop. If you’ve found me by hopping along from Kerry Bunting’s blog, Welcome and thanks for checking out my page.

This month we wanted to share the retiring products from the current Annual Catalogue. I chose to use the retiring In Colors of Fresh Fig, Tranquil Tide, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink & Berry Burst. I have really loved using these colours over the last two years and will miss them when they’re gone but I’m equally excited for the In colors that are coming next month to replace them.

The stamp set I’ve chosen is Florentine Filigree which is such an elegant stamp set and is so simple to use. I have simply stamped the images and let them stand on their own. I stamped the sentiment “Thank You” on both cards and just used my papersnips to create two different types of banners but you can also use the triple banner punch to create one of the banners.

Blog Hop #5

Thanks for joining the Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop #5. You may have joined me from Kristy’s Cards blog, so welcome.

This month’s Blog Hop is a layout challenge. I chose to use some products that I am fairly confident that will be retiring in May. I have used the Share What you Love Designer Series Paper which is absolutely a gorgeous pack of card stock. Normally our DSP is paper weight, however this pack is a thicker weight than our normal DSP. In this pack you get 4 sheets of each patterned paper so you get a lot of card in this pack which is great as you want to just keep using it. Some sheets have some shimmer on them as well.

I have paired the dsp with the coordinating stamp set “Love what you do” in Berry Burst Ink. The card came together quite easily as I already had the layout provided so just needed to add the elements to it. Sometimes the layout can be the hardest part to card making. The colours can be the easy part especially with Stampin’ Up! as all their colours coordinate so well together.

I decided to add an envelope to my project and so I covered the back flap with some of the DSP. I really like how my whole project turned out. I added a whisper white insert into the card as the Berry Burst is just a bit dark to write on. I stamped the same flower that’s on the front to the insert as well. You can see that on the photo above.

Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop

Welcome to our Team Blog Hop for March. This month’s challenge was to create something using a product that you can earn free during Sale-a-bration. I chose to use the gorgeous Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper. I created a Card Gift Box Set. The original box was created by Crafty Caroline.
I paired up the Gingham Gala DSP on the cards with the Butterfly Gala & the Gingham Gala Adhesive-backed sequins.

Here is the box without the belly band. It really is a lovely box that both flaps open to get the cards out.

This is the full set of cards with the box. I really enjoyed creating this project to share with you.

I am holding my first Stamp Camp next month and have a few vacancies so get in quick to book your spot and don’t miss out on a great weekend away south of Sydney. You can book your place by clicking here.

Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop

Welcome to our February Team Blog Hop. This month we were challenged to use the colours from the Sale-a-bration Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack, Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Grapefruit Grove, Highland Heather & Lemon Lime Twist. This ribbon is found on page 7 of the Sale-a-bration catalogue. Unfortunately, this ribbon is now unavailable due to the high demand. If you don’t want to miss out on any of the other products in the Sale-a-bration offerings, then don’t delay and put in your order today!

Here is our next Stampers Anonymous Team challenge

I chose to use the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper Stack. I found inspiration from Create with Lynn. I changed up the butterflies as I just used the Botanical Butterfly DSP for the butterflies and punched them with the duo butterfly punch. I used Highland Heather ink for the sentiment from the Birthday Cheer Stamp Set.

From tomorrow there will be a few additional items that can be earned during Sale-a-bration.

Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop Sketch Challenge #1

Thank you for joining us for our first Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop!

The challenge has been set by Nikki Stalker and here is the sketch we are to work with.  The inspiration for this sketch is from  page 97 of the Annual Catalogue.

Here is the card that I made for the blog hop.  I used the Snow is Glistening Stamp Set which is only available till the end of November or while supplies last.  I used the colours in the Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper as my inspiration.  If you love this paper I would suggest you purchase it as soon as possible as its been very popular and has sold out overseas and will sell out here too and once its sold out its gone.

If you get out of order you can click on the links below to get to get back onto the blog hop.

Stampers Anonymous Team Swap

This week is Stampin’ Up!’s Onstage events around the world.  The Live event is in Orlando Florida but I am going to a local event in Melbourne.

This year I am participating in a Team Swap.  We’re all making 25 cards and swapping them with those that wanted to participate.  We will meet during lunch time on Saturday and swap and hopefully get a team photo with all our team shirts on.

Here is the swap that I made.  I love how it turned out.  I used the Stamparatus to get the baubles all lined up and added some sparkle from a spritz bottle.  I used Bermuda Bay card stock for the base and ink and added in some Coastal Cabana Card & Basic Black card.   Before I stuck everything down I punched out the tailored Tag punch from the Coastal Cabana twice.  This is a great way to save on some costs as no one will see where you punched out.  I stamped the sentiment onto Whisper White and layered them and popped them up on dimensionals.
