Can you believe that we are now at the end of another year and today is our monthly post for our December Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop #37. This month’s blog hop is a colour challenge. When I first saw the colours I loved them but then when I started to play with them and work out what I wanted to create I was a little challenged.
I ended up creating 2 cards for you for this challenge. One is a very simple card with a few layers and the other card has some two step stamping. You may have arrived here from Elizabeth’s Blog or you may have started right here, either way I am glad you have joined us on our little Blog Hop. My First Card – Thinking Thanks and Peace
My month has been really rather busy with getting christmas cards sent out and trying to keep on top of all the paperwork for hubby’s business. But I did get a chance yesterday to finally get inky and made these cards for you. I really hope you like them. The colours we used are Gray Granite, Petal Pink & Soft Sea Foam. All colours I do love but when you mix them together sometimes I get a little stumped on what I want to create. I started with a simple Christmas cards, because let’s face it, can you really have too many Christmas Cards? I didn’t think so either.
On this card I used the Thinking Thanks and Peace stamp set that is retiring very soon and is also quite heavily discounted in our Last Chance Products sale. I layered the colours up and stamped the sentiment in Gray Granite and that is really all there is to the card.
My second card – Sweet Ice Cream
The second card was more involved. I chose the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp set from the Annual Catalogue. Stamping the ice creams, one in each of the 2 colours using Gray Granite as the stick and then mixed the two colours together which turned out fabulous. I really love the look of the mixed tone ice cream. I finished the card off with sentiment stamped in Petal Pink ink on Petal Pink card and snipped off the end to create a diagonal banner.

Love how you’ve got two completely different but lovely cards using the same colour combination. Shows how versatile the combination can be! So cool!
Great cards Sharon.
