Painted Poppies Stamp

This is a very simple card using the Peaceful Moments & the Painted Poppies Stamp sets

The Painted Poppies Stamp set is one of my favourites from the January to June Mini Catalogue. And we have recently found out that these stamps are carrying over into the new Annual Catalogue. Yippee!!

I decided in January that I was going to use this suite of products for my April Retreat.

The reason was because Poppies are traditionally used as a flower to remember those we have lost during times of war. My retreat was going to be held over the ANZAC weekend.

In this very simple card I have used a Blackberry Bliss card base. Stamping the three poppy stems on a piece of whisper white card and then, using one of the mottle stamps, I stamped blackberry bliss over the poppy heads to add some colour. After that I attached a strip of the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper on the left hand side of the whisper white.

To step up the project I stamped the poppy onto the envelope to keep the theme going and to match the card.

Unfortunately I had to postpone my retreat, but I was able to host a virtual one in its place and send out a retreat in a box for those that wanted to participate. It was a fun weekend that I believe everyone that “attended” enjoyed.

12 Days of Christmas – Day 12

For my final project from my 12 Days of Christmas Series I have the Secret Santa Gift that I made for our Team Christmas Party.

I used the Merry Music Specialty Designer Series papers for my inspiration.  I made a little bonbon and some half bonbons to put product and chocolates in.  I used the labels I’d made on previous projects on the bag and the Jar of Malteasers.  I purchased the little jar from Kmart.

I also make up a little box for some ribbon that uses no adhesive and can fold flat.  The box was originally made by Sam Hammond from Pootles.

This box was originally made by Sam Hammond from Pootles.co.uk

Pocketful of Sunshine – Part 3

The pocketful of sunshine stamp set presentation continues.

I wanted to make a sampler and experiment with all the stamps that were in the set so created this sampler.  I took some photos of my girls hamming it up in their sunnies.
I’ve used the Color Theory paper stack in conjunction withe the stamp set.
I really love how this turned out.  I just need to get the hubby to put it up on the wall for me.

The last project I made was this banner.  When I saw the pocket stamp I knew it would be great to create a banner with it and combine it with the alphabet stamp set.  The colours I used were Dapper Denim, Crushed Curry, Old Olive & Berry Burst.

Pocketful of Sunshine – Part 1

At Stamp Camp there are presentations of techniques or stamp set spotlights. We get the opportunity to see new techniques and be inspired. This years presentations were on bleaching, embossing paste, faux silk, Retiform or Block technique.

The last presentation was by me and I did a Spot light on a stamp set called Pocketful of Sunshine (143719 $30.00) and matching Framelits (143750 $41.00).  You can save 10% if you buy these two items as a bundle (145345 $63.75)

I started making samples early and searched Pinterest to see what inspiration I could get.  I made these cards after being inspired.

Then I wanted to use some of the Embossing paste to create a wall and create a graffitti wall with the stamps.

While at Stamp Camp I was told about a card similar to the one below.  I used gold embossing powder for the bottom glasses.
