This month we were challenged with card layout.  I chose to use the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley.  A gorgeous suite of products that include stamps, dies, 6×6 papers, adhesive image sheets, stars & tinsel.

I used the stamps & the designer series paper stack for this project.  I also used the Mossy Meadow linen thread from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack which I feel just goes beautifully with rest of the card.

I love the gold foil on the red mistletoe background paper and then on the flip side are the trees. I loved this combination together as they are very traditional Christmas colours. I like the simplicity of the card with just the tree and then with the candy canes as the decorations on the tree. I felt that the tree was still a little naked so I used the other tree image as the branches stamped off. I just kept stamping till it filled in the spaces of the tree.

I added the Mossy Meadow linen thread to break up the sentiment and the tree, Then I added a christmas present on the scallop circle in real red so it is quite a subtle tone on tone image.

I made another card but rotated the design on the next card as I cut the patterned paper incorrectly but it enabled me to create another card. I used the scallop circle with the image in real red ink.

Team Blog Hop #10

Can you believe it? We’re in double digits for our Blog Hop.

Thanks for joining us on our blog hop journey of Holiday Catalogue Projects. This month’s challenge was a great one to do as we all get to play with brand new product from the new Holiday Catalogue which was only released 10 days ago.

I have chosen to play with the Memories & More Card Pack from the Night Before Christmas Suite. I have always loved these cards as they make creating cards very quick and easy. In this card pack you get 6 each of 9 double designs and 6 sticker sheets. So you could easily grab 5 friends and get together to make some simple Christmas cards.

There is very little stamping on these cards as most of them already have the sentiments for you. I did add the “Celebrate the Season” to Santa in Cherry Cobbler ink from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set as he needed a little something extra and rather than using a punch I just used my papersnips to cut the Vanilla Card on an angle to add some extra dimension.

You can continue to hop along with our team by clicking on the “Next Blog” button or click on any of the names below. Enjoy and don’t forget to comment on our projects. We always appreciate the comments.

12 Days of Christmas Day 12

Welcome to my final day of the 12 Days of Christmas Series and a very Merry Christmas to you all on Christmas Day.  My plan was never to finish on Christmas day but that is what happens when I get too busy to craft.  Next year I really need to have all my projects ready to go before I even start my series.

This project I saw on another demonstrators page and so wanted to make it for my final project.  I love making Christmas decorations and home decor items and this bauble is no exception.

You can watch the talented Vanessa Webb as she shares how to make this bauble.  I love how easy these are to put together.

If you’d like to purchase any of these products that I’ve used to make these baubles just click the links below.

12 Days of Christmas Day 11

Welcome back to my 12 Days of Christmas Series and Day 11.  Sorry for the break in posts.  Last weekend there was a massive storm that swept through our area and took out power in 50,000 homes. I was helping out some family members that lost power for 75 hours.  They came over and washing clothes, had showers, had hot cups of tea etc. Added to that I have been sick and so I haven’t had a lot of time to craft this past week.

My day 11 project is this gift box to hold a Christmas ornament for a dear friend.  I created the box by just measuring the ornament and creating the box to fit the ornament.  I used the gorgeous Garden Green & whisper white bakers twine to tie the box. Here’s the inside of the box.  I love how the box lid doesn’t cover the entire bottom of the box.And here is the little ornament that is going into the box. 12 Days of Christmas Day 10

Welcome back to my 12 Days of Christmas Series. Day 10!!

This project was inspired by Intertwyne Designs and her Milk Carton-ish Box. Her box was flatter on the top, however I kept it as a milk carton.

I added some chocolates inside as a treat. I again used the Santa’s Workshop DSP. I just can’t get enough of this paper.

12 Days of Christmas Day 9

Welcome to day 9 of my 12 days of Christmas Series.
This gift is a second take on my day 3 project with the bath bombs. I purchased these jars from Kmart, 6 for $5 and then decorated with the Santa’s workshop specialty designer series paper.

I plan on giving these to some of my nieces that are a little hard to buy for.

I tied a ribbon around the top to add something extra.
