Team Blog Hop #18 Sketch Challenge

Welcome to the Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop #18. Thank you for joining us along our journey to creativitiy. This month it was a layout challenge. I just love this suite with all the bright colours. Which is why I really enjoyed this challenge. As it gave me the opportunity to play with the Birthday Bonanza Suite.

This suite will be retiring in just a short couple of weeks. Do you love this suite as much as I do? Then you had better go and buy the suite now before it is gone for good.

I wanted to let the Designer Paper do the work for me in this Team Blog Hop. However, I knew I needed to add some stamping onto the card too, so I stamped the Toucan and the party hat to add another focal point. And of course I needed to add the sentiment. I gave this card to my daughter for her 13th Birthday which was on the 1st of May.

Don’t forget to click on the “Next Blog” button below to be taken to Nikki’s blog and see her creations or you can go backwards to Meighen’s Blog to see what she has created. If you get lost along the way you can always come back here and click on any of the links below to see the other creations. I can honestly say that there is a lot of creativity amongst these amazing women. Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to check out our blog hop next month as well.

Using the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper allowed me to stamp less to let the paper do the work for me.

All Geared Up to Celebrate

My eldest daughter started high school this year and has made some lovely friends. She was invited to one of her friends birthdays last weekend. I made this card for her friend. I am hoping that he likes the card. I used the gears from the Garage Gears Dies to cut out in copper foil.

I embossed the Gray Granite card base with the Brick & Mortar folder and then using a dauber I inked around the edge of the card and on some of the bricks.

I cut out the Basic Gray card stock using the Stitched Rectangle dies and stamped the sentiment on there in Tuxedo Black Momento. I adhered everything with my tombow glue rather than dimensionals.

Birthday Chupa Chups

It was my youngest daughter’s 10th birthday this week and it is encouraged to take something to school to share with the class. I used to make cupcakes for the class but changed it up a few years ago as I knew I was going to be very time poor just before their birthdays so I started making a little something for them to hand out to the class.

This year I used some chupa chups and made these cute little lollypop holders. I found the idea on pinterest and found this gorgeous idea, however it was in italian so had to use some tech skills to translate some of the measurements and I was then able to figure it out.
I finished off the edge of card stock with the story label punch.
I have used a retired punch for this as it was just perfect. I used a retired hand held punch to make a hole in the top and then tied some twine to hold it on and used a dimensional to hold it in place.

You can purchase any of these products, apart from the retired items, from my online store by clicking on any of the links below.

For Your Birthday

Again I was playing with my two favourite products from the Occasions Catalogue. The Birthday Cheer Stamp set and the How Sweet it is Designer Series Paper (DSP)

This time I was using the DSP as the background and doing this means I really don’t need to do too much to the card. I cut off a strip of DSP and flipped it over to give some contrast. I then just stamped the image onto the punched out circle and layered it all up and its then done.

This is another card that my campers will be making at my Papercrafters Retreat. The registration has closed but you could order the “Retreat in a Box”. In the box you will receive all the make and takes, pillow gifts, a goodie bag, and two stamp sets and a voucher to spend with me all shipped to your door. The cost is $195. You can contact me to order yours today. I will be closing the order period off on 20th April and will be posting them out during the week of the 8th May. There is a very limited number of these available to order to don’t miss out and order yours today.

50th Birthday Card

My brother turned 50 this month and we had a family dinner celebrating.  With a big Birthday like this I wanted to make a special birthday card for him.  So I pulled out some of the new products that are being released in the new Occasions Catalogue and made this card.

I used Basic Gray as my card base and then layered Basic Black on top and some new Designer Series Paper on top. This paper is the new Classic Garage paper stack.  I used the retired Large Numbers Framelits and embossed them to add some extra detail.  I used the foil sheets for the numbers as well and with the heat from the heat tool it melted some of the foil and that’s how you get the look of the white and smoky slate.
The cogs were all cut out using the Garage Gears Thinlits Dies and I have used the Grapefruit Grove Foil Sheets from the Sale-a-bration catalogue.  You can earn this foil for FREE with an order of $90 from January 3rd, 2019.

I stamped on the envelope to match it in with the card and I added an insert in the card to write on and stamped some images on the insert as well.  I really love how the card turned out and my brother liked the card too.  His wife makes cards and so he understands that a bit of time would have gone into making this card for him.

If you like any of the products I’ve used just click on the link below of the product you like and it will take you to my online shop where you can find all of these products and more.

Another Welcome Little One

Here is the second baby card that I was asked to create for a customers upcoming card class and I wanted something very simple.  This time I used Pool Party and Very Vanilla card stock.

I created a mask and used sponge brayers to create the Pool Party rectangle.  I then used the Animal Outing stamp set in Sahara Sand ink.

I also used the layering circle dies for the sentiment.  The sentiment is also from Animal Outing.

Animal Outing Birthday

At the conference we were at last month I needed to create a few cards as I was doing a workshop. Here is one of the cards that I created. I wanted to show how you can use some only a few products to create a card that they could duplicate.

Rather than using extra cardstock I punched the tailored punch out of the coloured card stock. Once the designer paper is layered on top you can’t even see where you punched.

I used the Animal Outing stamp set in the background. Then used the “Happy Birthday” from the Picture Perfect Birthday.

During August if you spend $90 on product you can earn a $9 voucher to spend next month. This is part of the Bonus Deals promotion that Stampin’ Up! have at the moment. If you’d like to place an order you can order online. And if you use the hostess code A2GV4THE during August I will send you an little gift. Today is the last day of this promotion.
