Birthday Chupa Chups

It was my youngest daughter’s 10th birthday this week and it is encouraged to take something to school to share with the class. I used to make cupcakes for the class but changed it up a few years ago as I knew I was going to be very time poor just before their birthdays so I started making a little something for them to hand out to the class.

This year I used some chupa chups and made these cute little lollypop holders. I found the idea on pinterest and found this gorgeous idea, however it was in italian so had to use some tech skills to translate some of the measurements and I was then able to figure it out.
I finished off the edge of card stock with the story label punch.
I have used a retired punch for this as it was just perfect. I used a retired hand held punch to make a hole in the top and then tied some twine to hold it on and used a dimensional to hold it in place.

You can purchase any of these products, apart from the retired items, from my online store by clicking on any of the links below.

Team Blog Hop #9

Welcome to this months Team Blog Hop #9. You may have joined me from Olivia’s blog. Please feel free to take a look around. This month we had a colour challenge using up to 5 colours. I chose to use 4 colours and hoping that using whisper white is allowed.

I chose to use the High Tide stamp set along with some patterned paper from the Come Sail Away DSP.

I used some Balmy Blue layered under the striped patterned paper and then with the Mint Macaron I used the Subtle 3D embossing folder to add some texture.

I stamped the sentiment onto a Sahara Sand Circle using the Layering Circle Dies and then using the same circle cut out a Balmy Blue circle to layer off centre.

Family Fun Fair

This Sunday my youngest daughter’s school is holding their Biennial fair and I will be having a stall there. I am really looking forward to being in the community and raising some funds for our primary school. It is always a fabulous day with lots of community spirit with all the families pitching in and helping on their children’s class stalls.

My daughters class stall is the Hair Spray, nails & tattoo stall. As I will have my own stall to run I have enlisted my eldest daughters help and a friend of hers to help in my stead. Both girls are looking forward to helping out and I’m very encouraged by their willingness to help.

Below is how I set up my stall 2 years ago which I felt worked well. I am changing it up again so I can see how it goes with a different layout and display.

I will have some class flyers to hand out to anyone that is interested and have some of the projects on display for people to see. I will also have some catalogues and a simple make and take.

If you are around on Sunday, pop in and say hi.

Team Blog Hop #8

Thanks for hopping along on another month of our Team Blog Hop #8. If you have just come from Kristy’s blog then Welcome to my blog and please make yourself at home and write a comment if you feel inspired.

This month’s hop is a layout challenge. I had a few false starts on this challenge but am quite happy once I finished. I kept changing my mind about which stamp set I wanted to use but finally settled on the Crackled stamp but then had to work out which stamp set to go with it and I pulled out the Daisy Lane stamp set. Once I had these two sets I was good to go. I love love love the Pretty Peacock In Color. That may feature in a few of my cards throughout the next two years.

I used the fern in the Daisy Lane stamp set and stamped a second time without reinking. I also stamped the fern on the inside of the card on vanilla card stock.

Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop #7

Welcome to this months Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop #7.

This month our challenge was to use 3 of the new In Colors that have only just been released. These are gorgeous colours to play with especially the deep rich Pretty Peacock.
I also decided to showcase one of our new Stamp sets with matching punch in the Above the Clouds Bundle.

It was hard at first knowing how I was going to use these colours but then I picked up the Above the Clouds stamp set and the card came together. I used a layer of Seaside spray to break up the vanilla and added some black birds in the sky and the sentiment.

This is a two step stamp set so I used the outline of the balloons in full strength and then stamped off for the Hot air balloon.

We have some amazingly talented women in our team and you can check out all of their projects by clicking on their names below or clicking on either of the big buttons. If you get lost along the way, just pop back here and you can keep travelling through the Blog Hop.
